Antique French Theatre Tunic | 1910s–1920s Renaissance Revival | Art Nouveau Print
A one-of-a-kind antique French costume tunic, dating to the 1910s–1920s, made for theatre or opera in a romantic Renaissance revival style. This piece is a showstopper—dramatic, detailed, and full of character.
The star of this tunic is its incredible printed textile: a bold, fantastical design that blends Art Nouveau florals with folk and heraldic influences. The pattern is full of surreal, painterly shapes—florals, sunbursts, curling vines, and geometric motifs—in rich, muted tones of orange, blue, pink, and black. It’s the kind of fabric that feels alive with storytelling, likely designed for the stage and possibly printed in a limited run for costume use.
Panels of soft peach silk break up the print on the front, sleeves, and skirt, trimmed with gold metallic ribbon that adds a touch of shimmer under lights. It buttons up the back and fastens at the cuffs with metal hook and eyes. Fully lined.

- Chest: 36”
