1920s French Cotton Short Jacket Silver Metal Buttons Open Front Opera Theatre

1920s French jacket made for opera costume. Lovely soft cotton fabric. Open front style with large silver metal embossed buttons which are purely decorative. Pockets are also false. Lined in cotton. Aristide Boyer, Marseille costumier stamp in the long.

Measurements taken when flat: 21” underarm to underarm, 17” across the shoulders, 8” arm opening at the shoulder, 23” sleeves, 18” long at the back from neck to hem.

Overall condition is great. Freshly laundered. Small signs of slight wear to the surface. One button missing on the left cuff. The lining in the neck has come unstitched a little.
