1910s French Tan Leather Gilet Tunic Buckles Patina Opera Theatre Costume BARABINO

C.1910s French tan leather gilet made for opera costume. Medieval style. Straps with embossed metal buckles fasten at the sides. Stamps in lining for a costumier BARABINO in Marseille. Good patina on a nice rich tan leather. Lined in linen. 

Measures: 19 1/2” underarm, 24” long in the body

Condition: this is worn with stains and some small scuffs here and there. The inside of the neck lining has come unstitched. Just the top two buckles on each side are intact the other are in parts.
