1930s 40s Transylvanian Green Black Wool Jacket Coat Traditional Folk Costume

Amazing c.1930s - 40s Transylvanian folk coat. Very dark green and black curly sheep’s wool. Two front pockets with corduroy velvet panels which dip into points. This is mirrored in reverse on the cuffs. Fully lined in delightful floral print fabric. 

Measurements: 20” underarm to underarm, 16” shoulders, 21” sleeves, 24 2/2” long in the body

Condition: Freshly laundered in the machine on short cycle wool wash using a cold temperature. The edging of the velvet corduroy trim at the top left below the neck is damaged. The edging is completely split and could do with binding with some extra fabric or thick darning stitches. The lining has a few holes.
