1930s 40s Transylvanian Green Black Wool Jacket Coat Traditional Folk Costume Romanian Hungarian

Amazing c.1930s - 40s Transylvanian folk coat. Very dark green and black curly sheep’s wool. Two front pockets with corduroy velvet panels which dip into points. This is mirrored in reverse on the cuffs. Fully lined in black and red rose print. No fastenings,  it just sits open at the front. 

Measurements: 19” underarm to underarm, 17”shoulders, 22 1/2” sleeves, 24 1/2” long in the body

Great condition overall. General light wear. Freshly laundered in the machine on short cycle wool wash using a cold temperature.
