A striking example of mid-20th century traditional Hungarian folk clothing. This jacket is crafted from soft black velvet with light to medium padding, giving it both structure and warmth. Inside, it features a classic burgundy and grey striped cotton lining.
An additional front panel has been added later, stitched on one side and fastened with metal poppers on the other—adding both character and practicality. Some poppers are mismatched, and while a few no longer close, most do, and the jacket still fastens securely. You may wish to adjust these for a more consistent closure.
