1930s Transylvanian homespun linen folk blouse with blue glass buttons, floral hand embroidery, and extensive decorative work throughout. Traditional folk clothing, originally made as menswear.

Homespun and woven linen with pleating and floral embroidery down the front. The collar has circular cutwork and embroidered eyelet work. The shoulders have a distinctive gathered construction that resembles smocking, framed by wide bands of blue geometric embroidery and additional cutwork.

The cuffs are finished with gathered pleats and blue embroidered panels, fastening with buttons and loops. The hem is scalloped and embroidered with a continuous floral border. Personally sourced in Transylvania.
