1940s Romanian Folk Shirt Blouse Homespun Linen Glass Buttons Embroidered Smock

C.1940s Romanian folk shirt. Homespun linen. Pleated folds on the chest. Embroidery on the collar, cuffs and hem. Blue glass buttons. Gathered pleats at the back of the neck, shoulders and cuffs. Shaped hem. Lovely full trapeze shape with billowing sleeves.

Measures: 27” underarm to underarm, 18 1/2” across the shoulders, 9” arm opening from shoulder to underarm, 21 1/2” sleeves, 32” long from top of the shoulder to hem., 14 1/2” collar.

Condition: freshly laundered. There is a hole on the back as shown which has been quite crudely darned.
