1940s Transylvanian homespun linen folk blouse with mother of pearl buttons. Homespun and woven linen with a beautifully constructed pleated front panel and a collar that sits high on the neck. Traditional folk clothing, originally made as menswear. Personally sourced in Transylvania.

Chest: 22 in / 56 cm (measured underarm to underarm, so 44 in / 112 cm around)
Underarm depth (shoulder to underarm seam): 7.5 in / 19 cm
Shoulder to shoulder: 16 in / 40.5 cm
Neck opening: 14.5 in / 37 cm

Sizing note: These folk blouses differ from mainstream shirts in fit. Although the chest is generous, the neck opening and especially the shoulder-to-underarm measurement determine wearability.
Condition
Freshly laundered. Natural irregularities present in the linen weave. A yellowish mark on one cuff as shown, which may lift with further cleaning.
