19th Century French Silk Velvet Waistcoat Vest Double Breasted

Antique 19th century French silk velvet waistcoat. Double breasted. Black with red and brown stripe pattern design. Covered buttons. Cinch back metal buckle. Three front pockets. Can reverse to fasten with buttons either side.

Measures: 37” chest, 33” waist,  15 1/2” across the shoulders, 22” long from neck to hem

Condition: great overall. There are repairs to a horizontal tear each side on the underarm areas. The lining is discoloured. There are a couple of very small holes in the backing.
