A truly rare and historic piece—this 19th-century French fencing jacket was found in France and reportedly came from a fencing museum. Constructed from supple nubuck leather paired with brown linen, it features domed silver metal buttons at the front, neck, and cuffs.

What sets this apart are the authentic signs of use: visible slash and scratch marks across the surface, likely from the tip of a sword. It’s an incredible, wearable artifact of early European sport and combat training.

The jacket is fitted through the body, stopping at a high linen waist with a strap that once fastened between the legs (the strap is now mostly missing). Though it shows its age, it remains structurally sound and wearable with care—or ideal for display or collection.
