Antique 19th Century French Black Moiré Silk Boned Bodice Lace

Antique 19th century black silk boned bodice. Moiré water silk with jet beads and lace. A beautiful construction with large puff sleeves. Fastens with metal hook and eyes up the front.

Measures: 32” bust, 24” waist, 14 1/2” shoulders 

Condition: the silk and lace on the puff over sleeves has been cut at some point. It has raw edges here so could do with fixing. There is a darned repair to the right underarm but also a little tear alongside it. There are loose threads around the waist area so it seems that some further embellishment was attached. Aside from these issues, it’s sturdy overall and priced accordingly.
