Antique early 1900s French Renaissance style hose made for theatre or opera costume. Yellow cotton with blue silk velvet stripe panels, trimmed with gold metal ribbon. Fasten at the sides with poppers and metal hook and eye.  Fully lined in cotton. Costumier stamp for Aristide Boyer, Marseille in the lining. 

A unique piece of costume history to wear or display and treasure.

Measurements: 28 inch to 29 inch wais, 15 inch rise, 10 1/4 inch leg opening or doubled for full circumference. 11 1/2 inches in full length, 37” hips. 

Condition: these have been laundered by hand using cold water and a gentle detergent. There is some blue colour run on the yellow.
