Antique Early 1900s French Black Silk Vest Waistcoat Glazed Cotton Backing

Beautiful early 1900s French black waistcoat. Covered silk buttons. Glazed cotton backing with a metal buckle to cinch. Pocket tabs are just decorative. Light padding on the front. All hand stitched.

Measures: 22 1/2” underarm to underarm, 16” shoulders, 22” across the waist (will cinch in at the back to make small) , 23” long

Great condition. Just the lining has some small marks and discolouration. The lower right front, near the hem has two small rips as shown. There is also an opening on a seam on the lower left front. The bottom of seam of the left pocket tab has come unstitched. The light padding has become a little uneven on the right side: you could open out the seams and just remove it all.
