Antique early 1900s Leather Gilet French Opera Theatre Costume Lattice

Amazing early 1900s French opera costume. Leather gilet with cotton binding tape applied in a lattice pattern. This would have had buckles but they are missing. Linen and glazed cotton lining. Lovely patina. All hand stitched. A really nice little leather patch on the upper right front.

Measurements: 20” underarm to underarm, 16” across the shoulder seams, 23” long

Condition: this is worn and marked. It has some holes in the lining. The buckles are all missing. Some of the decorative binding has come unstitched.
