Antique French Golden Yellow Brocade Silk Breeches Pants Trousers Theatre Opera Costume

Amazing antique early 1900s made French opera costume breeches. Golden yellow silk brocade. Such a beautiful fabric! Metal button fly. Cinch back buckle. Lined in cotton. There are side slits on these which open just into the lining: I think they may have had fabric inserted into these sections. There is a pocket on the upper right side. Fasten both metal hook and eye at the ankles. Skilfully crafted. 

Measurements: 15 1/2” - 18” across the waist (double for full circumference), 16” rise, 28” full leg length 

Conditon: freshly laundered by hand using cool water and a detergent for silk. There is a dark grey stain on the inside on the right leg as shown.
