Antique French Opera Costume Breeches Trousers Pants Wool linen Renaissance Style Slash 1900 Green Red Yellow Balloon Leg

Incredible c.1900 French opera costume breeches. Made in a Renaissance style. Fabric seems like a lightweight wool. The green shade is so great, like arsenic green. Appliqué white motifs resembling the slash and puff style of clothing from the Renaissance period. Red stripe panels with woven ribbon trim. Button fly. Lined in linen. 

A very wearable treasure.

Measures: 30” - 36” waist due to possibility to cinch tie at the back. 14 1/2”  rise, 31” full leg length

Condition: freshly laundered and steamed. There is some discolouration and staining. Some holes and a few stitched repairs.
