Antique French Opera Costume Maltese Cross Wool Padded Pleated Crusades

C. 1910s French Opera costume vest. Incredible striking design in a Crusader style. Black wool with appliqué red Maltese cross on the front. Buttons up the back. Padded in the front to create a particular silhouette. Linen lined and stamped with the costumier Aristide Boyer, Marseille. This is a high quality piece of costume. Also includes lovely scripted handwritten pen writing the numbers 2879.

Measures: 22” underarm to underarm, 19” across the shoulders, 22” long in the body, 20” across the waist 

Condition: great overall. Freshly laundered. There are a few darned repairs in the front from moth damage.
