Antique French Opera Costume Stripe Wool Roman Centurion Vest Tunic

Antique French opera costume. Roman centurion style vest. Striped wool with metal ribbon trim and brass studs. Ties to fasten at the sides. Aristide Boyer, Marseille costumier stamp in the lining.

Measurements: 21” underarm to underarm, 24 1/2” long from top of shoulder to hem.

Condition: freshly laundered. There are many missing studs, some sections of the metal ribbon has come unstitched. The ribbons which have been added at the sides and crudely attached.
