Antique French Opera Costume Tunic Silk Velvet Medieval Renaissance Metal Studs and Plates

Antique early 1900s made French opera costume tunic. Claret wine silk velvet main body. Blue and salmon pink cotton twill sleeves and hem. Decorated with many domes metal pieces and larger circular plates. Silver metal ribbon trim at the hem and of the cuffs. Buttons up the back. Lined in cotton.  Seems to be mainly, if not all hand stitched. Such a wonderful treasure. 

Measurments: 18” underarm to underarm, 15 1/2” shoulders, 23” sleeves, 31” from neck to hem

Condition: freshly laundered. Just one small metal stud plate missing at the back of the neck. The metal plates have been stitched on over time with different coloured threads. Some of the button holes have ripped a bit and could do with some stitches to repair them.
