Antique French Opera Costume Vest Cream Wool Gold Metal Thread Brass Buttons 18th Century Style

Antique French opera costume vest. 18th century style tie back. Cream wool with brass buttons and applied gold woven metal embellishments. Two small front pockets. Metal buckle cinch back. Fastens with metal hook and eyes up the front. 

Measures: 19 1/2” underarm to underarm, 18 1/2” across the waist, 28” long from neck to hem. Can be pulled in to adjust at the back. 

Condition: freshly laundered by hand using a delicate detergent for silk and wool. There are some moth nibbles and very small holes. One tie at the back is missing.
