Antique French Theatre Costume Frock Coat Peach Cotton Woven Lave Trim Gold Metal Thread Embellishment 18th Century Style

Antique c.1910s French theatre costume frock coat made in an 18th century style. Woven peach cotton. Wide then back cuffs with very pretty lace trim. Woven gold metal thread embellishments and decorative gold metal buttons up the front and on the cuffs. Fully lined in grey cotton on the upper half and yellow cotton sateen on the lower lining section. Costumier stamp in the lining. Pockets flaps are decorative.

Measures: 32” bust, 12 1/2” across the shoulders, 19 1/2” sleeves (not including lace trim), 26” waist, 29 1/3” long from neck to hem.

Condition: overall very good. Freshly laundered by hand with cold water and a gentle detergent. There are some small stains. Some stitches repairs to the waist seam at the back. Some surface wear to the buttons and one button is different (smooth rather than textured) at the back.
