Antique French Theatre Costume Jacket Brown Cotton Blue Sleeves Ribbon Trim Brass Buttons

Early 1900s French theatre costume jacket. Brown cotton body with textured weave blue cotton sleeves. Lined in linen with costumier stamp and handwritten character/actor names. Round 19th century brass buttons. Blue and red ribbon trim.

A wonderful and wearable treasure.

Measures: 17” underarm to underarm, 15” shoulders, 8” arm opening from shoulder to underarm, 22” sleeves, 23” long from top of the shoulder to hem.

Great condition overall. Freshly laundered. Two very small holes in the lower right front and top left shoulder. Two areas on the back which have been darned with dark blue cotton. These could be nicely darned with some brown thread to look neater.
