Antique French Theatre Costume Tunic Renaissance Style Pink Grey Purple

Antique French theatre costume tunic. Renaissance style: made by costumier Aristide Boyer, Marseille. Cotton twill in pink, Greta no purple panels: buttons up the back. Pleated chest and scalloped capped sleeves. Appears to have been all hand stitched.

A wonderful and wearable piece of costume history.

Measurements: 19 underarm to underarm, 17” shoulders, 8” arm opening from shoulder to underarm, 22” sleeves, 32” long from top of shoulder to hem.

Great condition overall. Freshly laundered. There is some purple colour transfer on the front pink folded panels. There are some small rust like marks on the lower front. Two buttons are missing at the back.
