Antique French Theatre Costume Tunic Top 19th Century Renaissance Style Pink Blue Gold Child’s

Antique French theatre costume. 19th century made in Renaissance period style. Pink cotton with grey sleeves. blue silk ribbon and gold metal ribbon trim. Fastens up the back with hook and eyes. Decorative belt fastens to fasten at the  back. Gauzy cotton trim cuffs and collar. Hand stitched.

This is a truly wonderful antique textile treasure. 

Child’s size.

Measures: 14 1/2” underarm to underarm, 12” shoulders, 5 1/2” from shoulder to underarm, 18” sleeves including lace trim, 17”  long in the body.

Condition: Freshly laundered with cool water and a gentle detergent. Most of the blue silk trim is broken and missing. There is just one decorative brass button remaining on the front. The sleeves have a grubbiness with small marks. One very small hole on the upper left sleeve.
