Antique French Theatre Costume Tunic Top Child’s Renaissance Style Brown Pink Red

Antique French theatre costume. 19th century made in Renaissance period style.  Caramel brown linen or cotton which is woven with a foliage design. Pink cotton double ribbon trim on the neck, sleeves and lower hem. Sleeves are red cotton twill. There is a hook and eye at the neck and four covered button holes. Fully lined. Hand stitched. 

Such a beautifully handcrafted treasure. 

Child’s size

Measures: 14” underarm to underarm, 12” shoulders, 5 1/2” from shoulder to underarm, 20” sleeves including lace trim, 18” long in the body.

Condition: Freshly laundered with cool water and a gentle detergent. There is a white paint stain on the left cuff. A light blue stain on the lower left back and lower left front. Some buttons are missing. The buttons have also been moved across to make it smaller.
