Antique Indigo Linen Biaude Farmer’s Smock Artist Agricultural Painter Shirt

Early 1900s French indigo biaude. A traditional piece of agricultural clothing which a farmer would have worn as a best piece over a top and trousers. This has subsequently been worn by someone working with paint. Beautiful details up the front with dark mother of pearl buttons. Unusual pleat detail on the cuffs.  

Would be great for an artist painter who’s looking for a smock to wear and treasure and add and develop the paint stains. 

Fits across many sizes.

Measurements: 32” underarm to underarm, 22 1/2” across the shoulders, 18 1/2” sleeves, 34” long from shoulder to hem

Condition: freshly laundered. Many paint stains as shown.
