Antique Transylvanian folk waistcoat 1920s black wool traditional clothing

1920s Transylvanian waistcoat. This is a traditional piece of folk clothing from this area, made of black boiled wool and trimmed with grosgrain ribbon along the lapels, armholes and pocket flaps. Decorated with soutache embroidery. The collar and pocket details are in cotton velvet. Four front pockets and one interior pocket.

Condition

Freshly laundered. General signs of wear, particularly to the ribbon trim at the armholes and some areas of the edges. Small hole to the back as shown.
