This antique French indigo biaude is a special piece of agricultural clothing history. Originally worn by French farmers in the late 19th and early 20th century to show their prized cattle at markets, this smock features a lovely glazed cotton in shade of dark indigo. Buttons at the cuffs. No fastenings. 

These garments are getting harder and harder to find, making it special piece to wear and treasure.

Measuring 33” underarm to underarm, 25”  across the shoulders, 20 1/2” sleeves, and 37 1/2”  long in the body

Condition: Great: this has a glaze which will remove with washing. There is one very small hole at the back of the neck as shown.
