Antique 19th century French Theatre Opera Costume Hose Shorts Renaissance Style Tudor

Antique 19th century French Renaissance style hose. Dark green cotton and orange/brown silk velvet stripe panels. Silver metal ribbon trim and silver sequins. green leg trim. Lined in blue, red and white striped cotton. 

These are a wonderful piece of costume history. A beautiful treasure to wear and/or display.

Measurements: 26” - 30” waistband which cinches in at the back with a metal buckle. 8 1/2” across the leg opening (double for full circumference). 11 1/2”  rise, 36” hip.

Condition: These have been laundered by hand using cold water and a gentle. Quite a lot of the silver metal ribbon trim has worn away. There are many missing sequins.
