Antique French Copper Brown Silk Breeches Pants Trousers Theatre Opera Costume

Amazing antique early 1900s made French opera costume breeches. Stunning deep copper silk: such a beautiful fabric! Button fly. Cinch back tabs. Lined in cotton. Covered buttons on the leg openings. 

This has stamps on the lining for two different theatres. Interestingly one (which I believe would be the first) is a theatre in Algeria. 

Measurements: 15” across the waist (double for full circumference), 12”  rise, 30”  full leg length

Conditon: freshly laundered by hand using cool water and a detergent for silk. There are surface wear areas near the crotch as shown. Some darker stain marks here and there. Missing metal hook and eyes to fasten the tabs on the leg hems. Missing buckle in the back tab.
