C.1930s Transylvanian Linen Folk Trousers Crochet Inserts Pants Cropped Wide

1930s Transylvanian linen trousers. Wide legs and cropped. Crochet side panels with cutout X O motifs. These are symbolic within the ancient culture. There is a row of crochet cutwork running along the hem which finishes with fringing. Gathered drawstring waist to simple tie at the front. These are low slung and can sit down on the hips. Traditionally worn with a long shirt over the top. 

Measurments: 24” - 50” waist, 11 1/2” rise, 27”  long (full length)

Condition: Freshly laundered. There are a couple of nice patch repairs as shown.
