A 1930s–1940s hand-embroidered blouse from Transylvania, Romania, made from creamy handwoven white linen with a softly textured finish. The fabric has a medium weight and natural irregularities typical of this kind of weave.
It features decorative white cutwork embroidery along the front placket, high standing collar, and wide cuffs. Pressed glass buttons in tones of red, blue and turquoise finish the front closure. The collar can be worn standing or folded down, depending on preference.
Please note: the collar on these traditional styles is particularly small (13 inches / 33 cm) and is shown worn open, as most people would need to wear it this way for comfort.

Measurements:
- Underarm to underarm: 22.5 in / 57 cm
- Shoulder width: 17 in / 43 cm
- Shoulder to underarm: 8.5 in / 21.5 cm
- Sleeve length: 25.5 in / 65 cm
- Collar: 13 in / 33 cm

Fit guide:
Best suited to a small to narrow medium fit, based on the shallow armhole depth (8.5 in / 21.5 cm) and collar opening. While there’s some room across the chest, the fit through the shoulders and upper arms is more limiting.
Condition:
Freshly laundered. There’s a small break in the embroidery at the front hem, which could be secured with a few stitches. The linen shows natural irregularities in the weave.
