Rare 1930s Hungarian Sheepskin Leather Vest Waistcoat Wool pom-poms Brown Red Green Eastern European Folk

1920s -30s Hungarian Sheepskin Leathe Folk Vest. Red leather panels with woven strips of green, red, orange and black leather to decorate. Leather and wool pompom buttons. One pocket. Long sheep wool interior.

Small size: fit a UK 10 / US 6 nicely but that’s with thin layers underneath. If you wanted to wear it over a thick sweater you’d need to be smaller.

A rare and collectible find. I travelled to Transylvanian to find this.

Measures: 19” underarm to underarm. 20” long in the body

Condition: overall very good indeed. Just some light wear to the brown suede which hopefully you can see in the photos. An area of decorative criss cross cotton thread stitching (on the lower front) has worn away in a few small areas.
