Royal Opera House Costume Grey Cotton Jacket Textured Patina

Royal Opera House costume from La Donna Del Lago for the character of Highlander. Grey textured puffy fabric. Such a wonderful design with lots of patina. It’s shaped to point down at the front. There are button holes but no buttons. It was adapted at some point to close with hooks but just the rings remain. If you wanted to fasten it you’d need to either add buttons or hooks. Cuffs has been sewn as turn backs.

Measurements when closed at the button holes: 19” underarm to underarm, 20” across the shoulders, 18 1/2” sleeves, 23 1/2” from neck to longest point at the front.

Condition: freshly laundered. There are the fastening issues which I’ve already described above. Part of the patina is a slightly worn appearance and therefore there are some areas of surface wear which appear as holes reveal the underneath layer.
