Amazing Royal Opera House, London costume. Armour vest made for the performer José Cura as the character Othello. Golden cut out circles appear like shimmering golden chainmail. All edges in a bright red. Buckles at the sides. Poppers on the shoulders. Fabric is synthetic leather. The brown buckles are real leather it’s a very heavy piece and weighs 2.6kg. Made early 2000s. 

A very wonderful unique treasure. 

Measures: 21” underarm to underarm, 17” across the waist, 24” long from neck to hem
