Antique early 1900s French Theatre Opera Costume Renaissance Medieval Brown Wool Brass Buttons

Antique early 1900s French theatre or opera costume. Renaissance style. Lovely deep brown wool tunic with puff sleeves. Pink linen lower sleeves which fasten at the cuff with a small metal hook and eye. Salmon pink wool collar. Lined in cotton. 19th century brass buttons up the front of the tunic and flat metal button up the front of the skirt section. Really nice costumier stamps inside the lining. 

Such a good colour combination and beautifully crafted. Hand stitched. 

Measurements: 19” underarm to underarm, 16 1/3” shoulders, 24” sleeves, 15 1/2” across the waist, 42” long from shoulder to hem

Condition: freshly laundered. A couple of holes near the waistband at the front, a patched hole on a lower section of the skirt. A hole at the bottom of near the last button hole. The lowest button is missing. Presents very well and is structurally strong and durable.
