Royal Opera House Pink Padded Bejewelled Gown Coat Purple Green Samson Delilah

Incredible Royal Opera house gown coat. Lightly padded pink silk with appliqué purple silk motifs annd green velvet piping. Embellished with metal ribbon trim and faux faceted jewels. There are no fastening it just falls open at the front. Two areas of the front have been stitched back into place. 

I believe this was made early 2000s. Made for the character Abimelech in Samson and Delilah. 

Measures: 30” underarm to underarm when layed flat, 24” across the shoulders, 24” sleeve length, 57 1/2” long from shoulder to hem.

Condition: overall great. There are three missing jewels at on the front but these are largely covered by the turn back edging. There are some small areas of damage to the silk including pulls and very small tears. There have been some careful stitch repairs as shown. There is a hole on the inside of the collar as shown.
