1920s - 1930s Parisian Costume Bell Bottom Flared Trousers French Theatre Blue Silk Spots XS S Vintage Original Rare

Incredible 1920s - 30s blue silk super flared trousers. These are from a storage of Parisian theatre and opera costumes which I was lucky enough to find. Some of these pieces had famous named designer labels. I cannot find a label in these.The shape is just amazing and the shade of blue is gorgeous. Appliqué white spots with gold edges, following down each side along with a double row of metallic silver. They fasten at the hip with hook and eyes.

I three pairs of these together. All slightly different. I guessing they were part of a troupe of dancers.

Measurements: 27 -29” waist (you have the choice of two sets of fastenings as extra hooks were added at some point), 25” inside leg, 36” hips

Condition: overall great for their age and the fact that they were performed in. These have not been cleaned. They are in the condition I found them in. Please inspect the photographs in close up. There are areas of wear here and there: small pulls and surface wear to the blue silk, some of the edging of the appliqué dots is frayed and coming unstitched, there are small areas of grubbiness which maybe removed with a professional clean. The main wear is on the crotch which has been repaired with some slightly crude darning and the the side where it fastens. You could probably get away with giving these a gentle, very cool hand wash to freshen them up.
