1930s Hungarian Croatian Folk Blouse Black White Stripe Big Sleeves Cropped Eastern European traditional clothing zig zag

Exceptional c.1930s linen folk blouse from the Hungarian/Croatian border area. Woven black and white stripes on the sleeves and cuffs. The neckline is red with green embroidery. Cropped style which would have traditionally been covered with a top layer, leaving just the huge sleeves on show.

Look great work as a layer over a slip dress.

A beautiful and collectable piece of folk clothing.

Size: fits up to about a UK 8-12 /US 4-8

Measures: approx 19" underarm to underarm, 14” long in the body so just sits on top of the chest, sleeves approximately 27” long (no shoulder seams to measure from).


Great condition overall. Freshly laundered. One light rust mark on the sleeve. Some light grey speckling on the upper right front as shown. These marks may remove with more care. Please inspect the photos.
