1930s Hungarian Croatian Linen Folk Blouse Black Stripes Big Sleeves Cropped Eastern European traditional clothing

Exceptional c.1930s linen folk blouse from the Hungarian/Croatian border area. Natural linen with woven textured stripe panel sleeves. Black densely embroidered cuffs. Cropped style which would have traditionally been covered with a top layer, leaving just the huge sleeves on show.

A beautiful and collectable piece of folk clothing.

Size: fits up to about a UK 10 /US 6

Measures: approx 17" underarm to underarm, 13” long in the body so just sits on top of the chest, sleeves approximately 23” long (no shoulder seams to measure from).


Great condition overall. Freshly laundered. Some small brownish stains here and there. May lighten or remove with further care.
