1930s Hungarian Folk Jacket black Velvet Burgundy Grey Stripe Cotton Lining

1930s -40s Hungarian jacket. Made as a piece of traditional folk clothing. Black velvet with a light to medium padding. Burgundy and grey cotton stripes lining. An extra panel has been added at the front which is tacked on with stitches in one side and fastens with metal poppers on the other.

Size: bear in mind that this is padded so you need to be smaller than the measurements below for it to fit nicely. I estimate it to fit a UK 12 / US 8 but please check the measurements.

Measures: 21” underarm to underarm, 17” shoulders, 23” shoulder to hem, 23” sleeves

Great overall condition. Freshly laundered. Light natural wear. Some of the metal fastenings are mismatched and don’t fasten across but most do and it closes fine. You maybe just want to adjust some.
