1930s Hungarian Folk Jacket Black Velvet Floral Ribbon Trim Sequins Eastern European

C.1930s Hungarian black velvet folk jacket. Beautifully cut with a kick of pleats at the back. It’s is lined in brushes cotton and has quite a thick slightly padded feel. The velvet has a nice rough pile giving it a furry look. Trimmed with purple and green floral silk thread embroidery and colourful embroidered floral ribbon bands on the cuffs. Further embellished with sequin and bead trim.

A very wearable treasure.

Measurements: 18” underarm to underarm, 15 1/2” across the shoulders, 20” sleeves, 21” long from shoulder to hem
