1930s Romanian Brown Wool Folk Jacket Coat Traditional Clothing Warm Winter

1930s Romanian brown wool jacket. This is a piece of traditional folk clothing sources from the Transylvania area of Romania. It has really interesting horizontal pockets on the centre front and then two lower pockets with shaped flap covers. The back is shaped across the shoulders with a back tab panel.

Measures: 22” underarm to underarm, 18” across the shoulders, 24” sleeves, 31” long from top of shoulder to hem.

Condition: good overall. There is some damage and a few holes. Mainly on the lower right pocket which has large holes all the way across the bottom. The left underarm has a hole and there are two small holes on the back which can mainly be seen when held up to the light. This fabric works well to darn repair and I think this could be done quite easily to repair these few areas.
