Antique 19th century French Renaissance style hose made for theatre or opera costume. Red and blue Cotton stripe panels with silver metal ribbon trim and silver sequins. Green cotton trim on the legs. Metal buckle back cinch. Button fly. Fully lined in black cotton. 

A unique piece of costume history to wear or display and treasure.

Measurements: 24 inch to 28 inch waist due to adjustable buckle. 12 1/2 half inch rise, 8 1/2 inch leg opening or doubled for full circumference. 15 inches in full length.

Condition: these have been laundered by hand using cold water and a gentle detergent. There is some lighter discolouration near the crotch area But this is hardly noticeable. There are quite a few missing sequins.
