Antique 19th century French Theatre Opera Costume Hose Shorts Renaissance Style Tudor

Antique 19th century French Renaissance style hose. White and cream cotton stripe panels with gold metal ribbon trim and gold sequins. Blue waistband and green leg trim. Bone buttons on the fly and waist. Cotton lined.

These are a wonderful piece of costume history. A beautiful treasure to wear and/or display.

Measurements: 24” - 32” waistband which cinches in at the back with a metal buckle. 8 1/2” across the leg opening (double for full circumference).12” rise, 38” hip.

Condition: These have been laundered by hand using cold water and a gentle detergent. There is a small hole as shown. There are many small rust marks and quite a few missing sequins.
