Antique French Lilac Silk Brocade Bodice Skirt Costume Boned Floral 1900 Lace

Antique French lilac silk two-piece outfit. The wearable piece is the gorgeous bodice and the matching skirt is for the fabric and lace which can be used to mend repairs on the bodice and for other projects.

The bodice is a delight! Boned lilac brocade silk with cream lace overlay and embroidered floral ribbon trim.

Condition of the bodice is good overall but with some damage: a few rust small stains on the upper left of the chest area, the top of the right sleeves, on the front of the left cuff and on the right cuff also. There is a hole ripped in the tulle lace on the right underarm. A very small dark mark on the lilac silk - front left near the waist band.

The skirt is quite wrecked. The silk is split in lots of places. The waist band is torn and broken. Some areas of the silk are good and can be repurposed. The lace is good and can be used nicely to repot the underarm on the bodice.
