Antique lFrench Theatre Costume Jacket Blue cotton early 1900s 1910s

Early 1900s - 1910s French theatre costume jacket. Blue cotton body with ochre and blue woven ribbon trim. The sleeves are a looser cotton weave, in a lighter and brighter blue. The buttons are ring back metal with a floral pattern interior. Beautifully constructed to a high standard. Aristide Boyer, Marseille costumier stamp in the lining.

Measurements when flat: 20 1/2” underarm to underarm, 19 3/4” shoulders, 27 1/2” long in the body from top of shoulder to hem, 24 1/2” sleeves, 9” from shoulder to underarm (arm opening).

Great condition overall. Freshly laundered. Ine button is different as shown. There is a small and slight pull on the top left shoulder. A few small areas of the ribbon trim are damaged and worn away.
