Antique 19th century French Renaissance style hose made for theatre or opera costume. Green grosgrain silk striped with panels of woven floral cotton fabric.  Button fly. Fully lined in natural linen.

A unique piece of costume history to wear or display and treasure.

Measurements: 27 inch waist, 12 inch rise, 8 1/2 inch leg opening or doubled for full circumference. 13 1/2 inches in full length, 34 inch hips. 

Condition: these have been laundered by hand using cold water and a gentle detergent. There is lots of shredding to the fabric on the crotch area. There is a hole on the back as shown and two small ones on the right lower leg.
