Early 1900s French Theatre Costume Tunic Medieval Style 19th Century Antique Fabric Rose Pink Gold Metallic Thread Metal

C.1930s French theatre costume tunic. I believe the woven metallic thread fabric is more like 19th century. It’s so beautiful with golds and silver and pink woven threads. Bird and crest motifs. Rose pink cotton sleeves and front bib. Lined in cotton. Metal hook and eyes and poppers to fasten. Cotton gauze trim at the neck and cuffs. A wonderful piece!

Measures: 19” underarm to underarm, 16” shoulders, 17” across the waist, 8” arm opening from shoulder to underarm, 36” long in the body, 28” sleeves

Great condition overall. It has been hand washed in cold water with gentle detergent. The lining still remains a little grubby looking. There are many loose threads in the woven fabric. There are a couple of missing popper inside to close. These aren’t necessary as there are two compete large ones to close. Some darker marks around the neck where it seems some trim has been removed.
